In this three-day class, you will learn the basics of cloisonné enameling, a beautiful and ancient art form. You will start with the basics of wet pack enameling on a domed/fluxed silver blank, then learn how to bend and place the silver wires to form your design. You will also learn to fill the cells with luscious, vibrant enamel colors. In between enamel layers, Glen will teach proper firing techniques and shortcuts he has learned.
By the end of this class, you will have created a beautiful cloisonné enamel piece that you can be proud of. You will also have learned the skills necessary to continue practicing this art form independently.

This class is three days, Thursday to Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm each day. The first day will cover the basics of wet pack enameling, the second day will focus on bending and placing the silver wires, the third day will cover filling the cells with enamel, firing and finishing.
Materials:
There will be a $35 Materials Fee paid at the end of class.
