Description
In this virtual class, you'll learn how to use a torch to create beautiful jewelry using mason stains, graphite, and Thompson acrylic enamels. We'll start with a sifted opaque base and then introduce graphite drawings. From there, we will cover various techniques for using mason stains to paint, creating overglazes, building layers, and creating drawings, imagery, and patterns. You'll also learn how to use the crow quill pen and other tools to add detail to your work. We will discuss surfaces and how they impact the complete integrity of the color and drawings.
In addition to learning about mason stains, you'll also learn about the basics of torch-firing enamel. We'll discuss the different types of torches and fuel sources and how to set up a safe and effective firing station.
